South African Social Entrepreneurs Forum
Doing it ourselves!
A Social Entrepreneur is a member of community who does business with a purpose of solving social problems in a community. Social Entrepreneurs therefore have two objectives; to solve social problems and to make money for themselves. These include NPCs, NPOs, Cooperatives and profit making enterprises with a social agenda.
When Social Entrepreneurs come together and work together to identify and solve community problems, they have a greater impact because they solve different problems at the same time. This helps identify new opportunities to address and develop the whole ecosystem. The result is a fully functional ecosystem owned by the community with trained social entrepreneurs generating income from it.
When Social Entrepreneurs are organised and act as a collective, they receive more skills support and funding for their businesses and for the greater goal of creating a full ecosystem.
Organised Social Entrepreneurs must influence government policy and regulations to address the regulatory challenges we face in our efforts and solicit better policing and safe environments to conduct business in.
SASEF provides a platform for young genius social entrepreneurs to dazzle with innovative solutions, be heard and receive support to execute them successfully.
South African Social Entrepreneurs Forum – SASEF was founded to organise Social Entrepreneurs to grow as businesses and to develop their communities into the best smart villages in Africa.
